What to Expect from Bartle Hall

The Thicket Lodge & Country House Prep Areas

You can use the woodland-set Thicket Lodge and the suites at the main house as prep areas before your ceremony, and both provide excellent opportunities for photographs. The vast windows and beautifully decorated spaces are flooded with soft, natural light, making them ideal for capturing intimate, fun-filled moments and genuine emotions.

Both the Country House & Coaching Barn offer excellent choices for your wedding day, with the Country House being a more traditional wedding venue at the main house and the Coaching Barn being a more contemporary rustic venue.

The high ceilings and soft light, which pour in to frame your vows beautifully, define the Country House. This venue exudes traditional elegance, featuring a treelined driveway and a grand staircase that allows you to make a stunning entrance. From there, it’s a trip through their lounge before making your way through double doors and into the impressive aisle of their ceremony room.

The rustic Coaching Barn features exposed brickwork and beautiful wooden beams. The atmosphere here is intimate and cosy, perfect for close-up, heartfelt shots. With its ornate mirrors and permanent stage, this venue comes alive in the evening when the glistening fairy lights strung across the barn ceiling sparkle to your first dance and the wild party that follows. There’s even an Outdoor Kitchen where guests can gather around, where they’ll find wood-fired pizza or BBQ from ‘BUDDY the smoker’.

Tucked away in the wild and wonderful woodland, surrounded by trees and nature, the Woodland Pavilion guarantees a magical and unique backdrop for your wedding day photos.

The graceful pagoda and formal landscaped gardens are fantastic for family and group photos. A tranquil walk through the private woodland paths reveals that the light filtering through the trees creates incredible depth.
