Wyresdale Park, located in Scorton, Lancashire, has a rich history dating back to its construction between 1856 and 1858, making it an ideal location for Wyresdale weddings for over 165 years.

In recent years, the estate has transformed into a sought-after wedding venue, seamlessly blending its historical charm with modern amenities. The restoration of Victorian barns, including the White Barn and the Ceremony Barn, provides versatile spaces for ceremonies and receptions, accommodating up to 140 guests. The estate also offers on-site accommodations, such as glamping yurts with heating and electric blankets.

The North Wing

From the moment you walk in, you’ll notice the beautiful light from the vast bay windows. It’s a real country vibe. When I arrive, the venue is usually packed with bridesmaids having their hair and makeup done, sipping prosecco and chatting about the wedding. A perfectly well-lit, spacious prep space. A photographer's dream.

The Ceremony Barn

If I had to sum up the ceremony barn in one word, it would be rustic. Bare stone and high white ceilings are the formula for beautiful ceremony shots.

Now, this is where the fun begins! I tip my hat to any couple that gets in the rowboat at the lake, but the things you do for a few snaps and some video, eh? It’s a real selling point for this venue; I can count on one hand the number of other venues with this wonderfully mad quirk.

The Lake and Grounds

The White Barn

The White Barn has so many great spots and angles for photos. The balcony is one of my favourites; it’s perfect for getting wide shots of all the guests during speeches and adds an incredible perspective to the photos. Again, like the rest of the venue, it is beautifully lit with lots of large barn door windows.

The Party Barn

The acoustics in here are insane! Having a live band for your evening party is a must. It’s also ideal for those guests who don’t fancy having a dance, as there are separate rooms off the party barn that are much quieter.
